USAV Officials National Training Camp
North Country Region-USA Volleyball is very excited to host the 2023 USAV Officials Training Camp from February 10-12, 2023 during the NCR Ace of Clubs Festival at the Minneapolis Convention Center!
This camp is intended for all officials who wish to advance their current rating or to receive additional training in officiating. In addition, the camp will allow officials to officiate top level matches at the 2023 NCR Ace of Clubs Volleyball Festival while receiving invaluable feedback from the USAV National Training Team.
Registration will be open to officials from other USAV regions as well. Officials registering from regions outside of North Country Region must provide a recommendation letter from their Officials Chair.
REGISTRATION CLOSES on FEBRUARY 3, 2023 at 11:59 pm (CDT).
All applicants must be current members of USA Volleyball and must have completed all requirements for officials (including BGS, online clinic & test and SafeSport certification). Campers will be responsible for their own travel costs, meals, and lodging expenses. NCR will work to secure a special hotel room rate at a nearby hotel.
- Arrival and pre-camp meeting/classroom session on Friday evening, February 10, 2023 at 6:00 pm at the Minneapolis Convention Center
- Friday evening Officials Social following the classroom session with all Ace of Clubs Festival Officials and the USAV Officials National Training Team
- Camp competition days Saturday - Sunday, February 11-12, 2023
- Campers will receive evaluations as both first and second referee on competition days - two formal evaluations in each position - four evaluations total.
- Campers will be debriefed, have the opportunity to discuss the matches, and ask questions of the USAV National Training Team.
- Campers will be scheduled for additional practice matches to implement what they are learning while the National Training Team is nearby to advise and give feedback as needed. For at least one of these practice matches, campers will be partnered with a National Training Team member.
