Blue Moon Big Band under the direction of West Delaware High School Local Band Director, Jonathan Green. Green and twenty-two of his good friends comprise what best is described as a "professional jazz band." These musicians are music educators and professionals from across the Midwest, most graduates of UNI. The group is as much fun to watch, as they are to listen to. The evening will feature a "collection of pop music that has taken a spin through the jazz filter, including songs by Radiohead, Nirvana, Disney, "Minnie the Moocher" by Cab Calloway, and a selection from Glenn Miller. Blue Moon Big Band was very well received at Hanson Auditorium last summer, It will be a jazz evening that will not disappoint, their music is invigorating and talent overwhelming.
