Stewartstown Summer Theatre is back at home in our beautifully renovated church. This year we present Shrek the Musical, July 29-August 8, 2026.

This is a lively, family-friendly stage adventure about Shrek, a grumpy ogre whose swamp is overrun by fairy-tale outcasts. To get his home back, Shrek sets off on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona - with a chatty Donkey by his side - and discovers that true love and real beauty come from embracing who you are.

Ticket sales begin on July 1st (June 15th for parents) at 9:00 AM and close at midnight preceding each performance. Don't miss this fun show. Get your tickets today!

This Saturday matinee is a sensory friendly performance that includes 

  • A reduction of loud or jarring sounds and flashing or strobe lights
  • Modification of the house lights during performance
  • Accommodating house rules including audience members being free to talk or move during the show.
  • Quiet areas where an individual may go for a break - accompanied if necessary.
  • Patrons being welcome to use sensory items such as noise-cancelling headphones or fidgets during the performance

This is also a good opportunity for children to attend in a more casual atmosphere.
