Citizen Crane

Between Friday October 9 2026 and Saturday October 10 2026
Who is student filmmaker Vernon Triumph? Some say a visionary. Some say a madman. But he’s pretty convincing, so everyone from the volleyball team to the custodian gets involved in making his masterpiece, The Crane Man (an important, artistic film about a guy who gets bitten by a radioactive crane and becomes a superhero). The budget is zero, the cast and crew are clueless, and the whole production seems headed for disaster. But the rise and fall of Vernon Triumph just might turn out to be so silly it’s sublime.

Crumpled Classics

Between Friday October 9 2026 and Saturday October 10 2026
With first year teacher Ms. Collins out sick, a quirky cadre of students take it upon themselves to pull together the school’s annual “Classics on Parade,” acting out famous stories that they studied in their literature class. The students, however, decide to make the stories relevant to today’s audiences, with hilarious results! Romeo and Juliet set in a fast food place! Frankie Stein trying to assemble the perfect prom date! A second rate theatrical agent becoming the Phantom of the Opera so he can force a good deal! A desperate Shirley Holmes and Joni Watson jump-starting a new detective agency! And teenage slacker Artie surprising his unimpressed mother with a sword he pulled from a stone! The authors are surely rolling over in their graves and Ms. Collins is terrified of losing her job, especially when the principal calls the superintendent in the middle of the show!

Two Shakespearean Parodies: Hamlette and MMMBeth

Between Friday October 16 2026 and Saturday October 17 2026
We're shaking up Shakespeare with an evening of parodies! Instead of Hamlet, we have Hamlette in this modern-day, comedic, twisty-turny interpretation of the classic Danish tale. In MMMBeth, everything goes wrong. The witches take over the storytelling, Queen Duncan would rather open a donut franchise than die, Lady M's a bloodthirsty June Cleaver, and the murderers are preoccupied with creating a commercial for their services.
