Written and directed by Kawah, "Rooted Within" is a multidisciplinary theater piece presented by R.O.O.T.S. the Movement. Follow a group of friends as they navigate a global pandemic. Journey with them as they discover that the best way to heal, take care of, and show love to their communities is to first learn how to take care of themselves as individuals.
Written by Elena Avila and directed by Olivya Conner, "The Space In-Between" is a research-based, documentary style theater piece based on interviews done on Richmond residents living through the COVID-19 pandemic. This piece will showcase that despite the struggles we have gone through, our community can move forward together.
Due to explicit language and mature content, this event is for ages 14+.

6:30-7:30pm: Written by Elena Avila and directed by Olivya Conner, The Space In-Between is a research-based, documentary style theater piece based on interviews done on Richmond residents lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. This piece will showcase that despite the struggles we have gone through, our community can move forward together.
8:00-9:00pm: An exploration of the energy birthed through a relationship and its corruption through death, The Gateway, directed by Dexter Allen is a theatrical dance performance that explores the grieving process and our collective inner world.
This event is for ages 14+ due to explicit language and mature content
