ANYTHING GOES MUSICAL BY Guy Bolton and P.G. Wodehouse ​DIRECTED BY Justin Spooner & Nathania Apple ​November 14-22, 2025 ​ Auditorium 1​ Anything Goes is set aboard the ocean liner S. S. American, where nightclub singer/evangelist Reno Sweeney is en route from New York to England. Her pal Billy Crocker has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt, but the problem is Hope is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Joining this love triangle on board the luxury liner are Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin and his sidekick-in-crime Erma. With the help of some elaborate disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned blackmail, Reno and Martin join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart. Appropriate Audience Behavior Presented by the Wayzata West Middle School Drama Department Have you ever been stuck in a theater next to a human disaster? Now is your chance to laugh about it! Welcome to a night of drama... just not the kind that's happening on stage. In this hilarious meta-comedy, the audience is the real spectacle! Watch as a determined group of theater patrons—Ashley, Carol, and even Hamlet himself—try to survive the worst audience members ever assembled. From the couple who thinks the theater is their living room to the guy eating spaghetti out of Tupperware, the person aggressively clearing their throat, and the teen introducing "talksting," every terrible, distracting habit is on full, glorious display. It's a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud reminder of the golden rule of theater: Please, just shut up and enjoy the show. Join the Wayzata West Middle School students as they turn the spotlight on the weird, wonderful, and wonderfully annoying things people do when they should just be watching the play!

This ticket will get you into this year's Wayzata Idol Competition that will take place on Thursday, November 20th. Grab some friends and cheer on your favorite performer. The event will take place in Auditorium 2 and will have a run time of about 1 hour. Proceeds will be donated to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
