Students will identify, name, describe, sort, and compare common shapes while exploring their attributes and recognizing shapes in their environment. Students will also identify, copy, extend, and create repeating patterns using colors, shapes, and objects. Students should be able to: Recognize basic colors, shapes, and objects in their environment. Notice similarities and differences between objects. Sort or group objects based on a simple characteristic, such as color, size, or shape. Follow simple one- to two-step directions during hands-on activities. It can take you on an adventure anywhere you want to go, as well as direct you in your everyday life. Begin your reading adventure at the beginning with this Phonics and Guided Reading class. Your student will participate in engaging lessons that use stories, music, hand gestures, and other techniques to build reading confidence and develop lifelong readers. Students’ reading accuracy, fluency, and comprehension will grow. This class is for beginning readers at the BUILDER level with knowledge of the alphabet letters.
