About

What a WONDERFUL way to start your homeschool day! We have been invited back to the Garden & Farm Field Trip at UC Davis. We will be working in the garden so be prepared to get dirty. This is an experiential learning opportunity about garden/farm ecology and growing food. The field trips take place in the Ecological Garden at the UC Davis Student Farm where flowers, vegetables, fruit trees, herbs, and other plants grow year-round.

Kindergarden - 6th grade ONLY
Wear clothes that can get dirty and close-toed shoes. Raingear is useful during changeable early winter/spring weather. Finally, if it is raining on the day of our tour, we will limit time outdoors or move outdoor activities under pop-up tents, into our field house, or into nearby greenhouses.
If the weather is good...The farm has an area with picnic tables to enjoy a sack lunch following our field trip if you would like to have lunch afterward.
