Ramadan Iftar Dinner

Join us for a cross-cultural experience of Ramadan during a community dinner on March 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Social Room. This event is free.During the month of Ramadan, Muslims fast from pre-dawn to sunset. Breaking the fast with family, neighbors, and friends is also a tradition. At the dinner, we will learn more about this event and recall the importance of Easter to our Christian faith. We’ll co-host this event with The Dialogue Institute of Kansas City and William Jewell College and hear from a speaker from The Dialogue Institute, William Jewell Chaplain Melissa Dowling, and 2BC member Josh Hoops.
The schedule for the evening is:
6:30-6:45 | Reception
6:45-7:25 | Presentations about Ramadan (fasting) & Lent/Easter
7:25 | Ramadan Dinner (Iftar)
Children, elementary age and up, are welcome at the meal. Please note that we won't eat dinner until 7:25, so they might need a snack before they come. Childcare for children ages birth through pre-K is available with a reservation.
