Minnetonka’s Beginner Debate Camp

Is your student curious about debate but not sure where to start? Minnetonka’s Beginner Debate Camp is the perfect way to explore the exciting world of speech and debate—no experience needed!
Designed for students entering grades 6–10, this one-week camp introduces the fundamentals of debate in a fun, supportive environment. Taught by Varsity Minnetonka debaters and experienced coaches, your student will learn:
✅ How to build and present arguments
✅ Critical thinking and public speaking skills
✅ Debate structure, timing, and etiquette
✅ Confidence through games, drills, and practice rounds
This camp is the perfect first step into the debate community and a great way to meet new friends while learning lifelong skills.
