Get ready for a journey through time and nature! During our exciting field trip to the American River Water Education Center (ARWEC), wewill explore the fascinating history and science of the American River. Families will visit the center and the schoolhouse and dive into hands-on activities that explore the water cycle, watersheds, and how Folsom Lake helps provide power, flood control, and clean water today.
After a fun morning of learning and exploring, we’ll enjoy lunch together.

- This is not a drop-off event. All students must have a chaperone for the duration of the event.

We will be inside and out so please come prepared with closed toed shoes, water bottles, and sunscreen. Please arrive no later than 9:45am. Cottonwood Students (all grades) and their required chaperone. Younger siblings are not permitted to attend this field trip in any capacity. Please bring a peanut free lunch and water if you would like to join us for lunch. There are no vending machines available.
