Grab your walking shoes and your sense of wonder—it’s time to hit the trail for a nature-filled adventure at beautiful Hinkle Creek! Wander through whispering woods, cross babbling brooks, and explore the hidden gems of the forest during this guided nature hike.
But wait… there’s more! Along the way, explorers will take on the Scavenger Hunt Challenge—searching for secret clues, spotting local wildlife, and learning fun facts about the plants and critters who call Hinkle Creek home.

  • This is not a drop-off event. All students must have a chaperone for the duration of the event.

  • Please fill out the chaperone consent form if your student is attending with someone other than a parent/guardian who is 18 years or older.

Other Notes: The trail is a 1 mile loop up and down hills. Please come prepared with closed toed shoes, water bottles, and sunscreen. Free parking is available however limited at the entrance. There is additional parking available above at Lew Howard Park. Please arrive no later than 8:45 am as we will start the hike before it gets too hot. Cottonwood Students (all grades) and their required chaperone.
