The Western Science Center offers an engaging, hands-on learning experience where students explore archaeology, paleontology, and ecology while discovering the science and culture of our region. Through interactive exhibits, a giant geological timeline, immersive films, and real and replica fossils, students learn about scientific processes, ancient life, and early local communities. Students will participate in the Fossil Find Lab, which allows students to sift through the matrix to uncover and identify real marine fossils, giving them a firsthand look at how scientists work in the field and lab.Tickets will be purchased for BEST Academy students and one parent per student. Parents must remain on site with their child for the duration of the field trip; drop-off is not permitted.
