About
Students will explore the exciting California Bounty: Image and Identity, 1850–1930 exhibition, where they’ll discover California’s history through colorful paintings, including plein air landscapes created outdoors. They’ll see how artists captured the land, people, and resources of the Golden State. After the gallery tour, students will get creative in an art project inspired by what they saw, trying out plein air and observational painting techniques for a hands-on, fun experience! This activity will be for students in grades 3-5.Tickets will be purchased for BEST Academy students and one parent per student. Parents must remain on site with their child for the duration of the field trip; drop-off is not permitted.
