2026 Spring Diocesan Day of Discernment (CANCELLED)

Is God calling you to ministry? Take an enriching journey into the day-to-day experience for people being called by God into either ordained ministry or lay ministry. The Day of Discernment is the first step along a years-long path toward ministry.This discovery day is free to attend and provides an opportunity to ask questions and gather information in a no-pressure environment.
From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, attendees can expect a day that starts with Morning Prayer and includes speakers on the areas of understanding a spiritual gift, discernment of a potential gift, lay vocations in the church, opportunities for monastic life, the diaconate, the priesthood, and the path forward through the discernment process. A lunch is included in this day.
Those participating in the Day of Discernment should be confirmed in The Episcopal Church for no fewer than three years. We strongly recommend interested parties have a conversation with their Rector prior to attending the Day of Discernment.
