Known for their professionalism and charismatic presence, the Purduettes connect with audiences of all ages, building strong ties to the Purdue community and beyond. They rehearse every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11:30-12:20 pm.
The Purduettes were founded in 1942 during WWII when many Glee Club members left for service, prompting PMO director Al Stewart to form a women’s entertainment group. Their East Coast tour, including a performance at Eastman Kodak, quickly established the Purduettes as a national sensation. Though the Glee Club returned after the war, the Purduettes had earned their place and continue to captivate audiences today.
