Orange County Zoo

Students are invited to visit the Orange County Zoo, a small and family-friendly zoo located within Irvine Regional Park in Orange, California. The zoo focuses on animals native to the southwestern United States and provides an engaging opportunity for students to learn about wildlife, habitats, and conservation. The Orange County Zoo opened in its current form in 1985 and sits on about 8 acres, with its roots as a wildlife exhibit dating back to 1905. During this field trip, students will be able to explore the exhibits, observe native animals up close, and learn about the importance of protecting wildlife and natural environments.Tickets will be purchased for BEST Academy students and one parent per student. Parents must remain on site with their child for the duration of the field trip; drop-off is not permitted.
