For ages 12 and up, join us for an evening workshop with the acclaimed Step Afrika!A percussive and highly energetic art form developed by historically African American fraternities and sororities, Stepping uses footsteps, claps, stomps, and spoken word to create complex, layered rhythms known as polyrhythms. it has grown to become one of the most dynamic and influential American art forms.
This intergenerational workshop invites participants ages 12 and up to experience stepping through rhythm, movement, and cultural expression.
Cost: Pay what you wish, $10 suggested
Space is limited. RSVP by May 28.
Please wear comfortable/loose-fitting clothing and sneakers.
