By signing up for VBS, you agree to the following Releases and Agreements:

Liability Release - As parent and/or legal guardian, I remain legally responsible for any personal actions taken by the child(ren) listed on this registration. I, agree on behalf of myself, my child’s other parent if known or living, or our heirs, successors, and assignees, to hold harmless and defend Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, the Diocese of San Diego; its officers, directors, agents, volunteers, chaperones, and representatives associated with the events with respect to any and all actions, claims or demands that may be made or brought against the parish, the Diocese of San Diego; its officers, directors, agents, volunteers, chaperones, and representatives associated with the events, arising from or in connection with my child attending these events or in connection with any illness, injury, or cost of medical treatment in connection therewith. I agree to compensate the parish, the Diocese of San Diego; its officers, directors, agents, volunteers, chaperones, and representatives associated with these events for reasonable attorney’s fees and expenses arising in connection therewith.

Photo/Video Release - This release authorizes Our Lady of Mount Carmel of the Catholic Diocese of San Diego, its representatives, or volunteers, to photograph or record on audio or video the child(ren) listed on this registration for the purposes of furthering the mission of the vacation bible school (VBS) program, in this specific case, the creation of publication materials for youth and adults who participate in VBS and youth events. Photos, audio, or video may be used in printed materials and any OLMC related purposes and will not be used for any commercial purpose whatsoever. OLMC VBS, as a standard practice of communication with youth and families, will be utilizing the following social media: Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram. Any photos posted on these sites will only utilize first names of youth and adults from the parish will not tag photos. Youth, however, may go on and tag/re-tweet photos. I therefore hereby waive any kind and all rights my child/ward or I may have for compensation of any kind, which could otherwise accrue for the use of such photos and/or audio or video recordings.

Virtual Media Agreement - Our Lady of Mount Carmel may be using virtual programming and content for its participants, through which staff and volunteers will facilitate program activities through online platforms. The program(s) will use software, tools and applications provided by third-parties that participants, parents/legal guardians, volunteers and/or staff will access via the internet and use for purposes of communication and programming and potential content creation. These platforms may include but are not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Zoom.

This agreement provides your consent and release for your child to participate in the program(s) and utilize these online applications for distance-based, virtual program purposes. Please be aware that each application collects different information about its users and has its own privacy terms and conditions to which members must adhere and which parish or diocese cannot control or assume responsibility. Please review these carefully before registering your child.

I understand that I will have access to everything provided to my child and be made aware of how social media is being used, be told how to access the sites, and be given the opportunity to be copied on all material sent to my child via social networking (including text messages).

I authorize and consent to staff or other leaders of the Parish to communicate with my child electronically, including via social media, text, email, phone and video conferencing tools (e.g. Zoom) in accordance with the program(s).

Vanco Events is an online system for organizations and community groups that has been designed to look after the entire event ticketing needs.

All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the “Event Organizer” and not that of Revtrak inc d/b/a Vanco Events.
